Climate change, crop failure and the war in Ukraine will probably drive up food insecurity and increase the cost of living in the region. This will put additional pressures on governments, particularly in Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, and Yemen to provide food staples to people. This would probably result in unrest, more pressure on both state and aid agencies, as well as continued northwards and rural-to-urban migration.
